    Family Matters 1 Corinthians 10:1-13
Even though the family was originally ordained by God, what we’ve done with it has been as far from perfect as could possibly be.  Satan, in his never ending persistence, is attacking the very heart of the family even when we are exhausted.  But Paul encourages us by addressing the weakest points of the family.  Pastor Dwayne Dasher takes this and makes it personal to all of us no matter what life stage we are in.

    Through The Bible 2 Kings 6:24 – 7:20
How do you respond to bad situations?
Do you play the blame game and blame someone else?
Do you act in total disbelief and doubt what is really going on?
Do you use reasoning and try to make sense out of what’s going on?
Or do you disregard self and give what you have in order to bring hope to those buried in fear?
God’s plan is always bigger than our vision. We may see the problem staring us in the face, but we have to stretch beyond our own vision to see the bigger picture:  God’s will coming to fruition.

"Let me ask this question to you today: ARE PEOPLE'S LIVES CHANGING BECAUSE OF THE WAY YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE?  On an everyday basis, do people see you and say, "Wow!  You know, there's something different about that person.  I'd like to become like that!   If not, we need to reevaluate the way that we're living and say, "Hey, you know what?  The way that I'm living is not changing lives."
-Excerpt from today's message:  The Ministry of an Apostle, by Pastor Dwayne Dasher

Freedom in Christ 1 Corinthians 8

The new church in Corinth had some questions for Paul, and ones worth addressing today.

When someone does something, though socially acceptable, that may offend a new believer or deter a potential believer, what should you do?  Act as if everything is just fine or should I sacrifice something as to not derail what they perceive as wrong, even though it's not technically wrong to me?

The list for what could be perceived as being morally wrong is too long to put in a post.  We may think it's ok, but it's not to someone else.

In this message, Pastor Dwayne Dasher digs into the heart of the matter:  what WE should do when it may be a stumbling block to someone else.

    Through the Bible: 2 Kings 4 & 5

In 2 Kings 4 & 5, Pastor Dwayne Dasher contrasts the false god, Baal, with the true God, Yahweh, throughout the the miracles performed by Elijah and Elisha.  Baal was the god of water, fire, the harvest and life.   Too many times the misled  Israelites worshiped this false god praying for things that just wouldn't come.  But God through the two prophets in many situations took a direct stab at this false god proving time and time again who is the real God.

Grow, Go and Know 1 Corinthians 7:17-40

Where were you before you knew Christ?
Where are you now as a believer in Christ?
    Where are you headed?
What do you need to work on?

The new church of Corinth was bombarding Paul with questions like these as they fumbled around like a child learning to walk.  Paul was able to calm their nerves by letting them know that the first step in faith isn't necessarily the hardest step at all.  Sometimes you just have to grow a little where you are currently planted.  Then, as God leads, go to where your next step is.  But you must know God's voice, will, and intent for you.

This passage speaks more directly to the social dynamic of his day, but the intent transcends generations.  We, too, though walking different paths, are called to do the same thing.  Pastor Dwayne Dasher makes this more applicable to us in our generation and challenges us to see where we are, recognize where to go, and to discern God's will for our life.

    Through the Bible 2 Kings Chapter 1 & 2
We continue our journey through the Bible into 2 Kings where we see that last of Elijah and the beginning of the ministry of Elisha.

There is quite a bit of things that take place in this scripture, but one thing remains true:  God is speaking and His prophets are listening.  With each step they take, either protective or aggressive, God is there guiding them with each step.

Concerning Divorce and Remarrying 1 Corinthians 7:10-15

This week, Pastor Dwayne Dasher continues going through the book of 1 Corinthians and digs into Paul's teachings on divorce and remarrying.  It can safely be said that we know someone who has gone through rough marriage that has ended in divorce.  But what is God's stance on this prevalent subject?  Pulling from scripture, we are assured that though divorce is a sin, God loves the sinner.
