God’s Greatest Gift To His Church 1 Corinthians 13
Love should be at the forefront of everything we do.
But when we can’t stand people, it really puts a damper on our plans, let alone God’s plans.
But what if we go through the motions, wouldn’t that suffice?  Nope.
God is love, and He wants us to love like He does.
Pastor Dwayne Dasher dissects 1 Corinthians 13 and shows us what Paul was trying to convey
to this young church:  As God loves, we also should love others and serve with sincerity.

    The Lord’s Supper 1 Corinthians 11:17-34
If we take what was done on the cross, then we are becoming one with Christ.
If we become one with Christ, then we become one with the body.
If we are to be one body, we must have unity.

Unity with God comes only with confession and repentance.
Unity with believers comes only with forgiveness.
And peace within self only comes when you forgive yourself.

In this message, Pastor Dwayne takes the mirror and flips it on ourselves.
By being honest with ourselves and really examining who we are and our sinful selves,
are we then only able to be worthy of receiving the body and blood of Christ.

    Family Matters 1 Corinthians 10:1-13
Even though the family was originally ordained by God, what we’ve done with it has been as far from perfect as could possibly be.  Satan, in his never ending persistence, is attacking the very heart of the family even when we are exhausted.  But Paul encourages us by addressing the weakest points of the family.  Pastor Dwayne Dasher takes this and makes it personal to all of us no matter what life stage we are in.

    Through The Bible 2 Kings 6:24 – 7:20
How do you respond to bad situations?
Do you play the blame game and blame someone else?
Do you act in total disbelief and doubt what is really going on?
Do you use reasoning and try to make sense out of what’s going on?
Or do you disregard self and give what you have in order to bring hope to those buried in fear?
God’s plan is always bigger than our vision. We may see the problem staring us in the face, but we have to stretch beyond our own vision to see the bigger picture:  God’s will coming to fruition.

Freedom in Christ 1 Corinthians 8

The new church in Corinth had some questions for Paul, and ones worth addressing today.

When someone does something, though socially acceptable, that may offend a new believer or deter a potential believer, what should you do?  Act as if everything is just fine or should I sacrifice something as to not derail what they perceive as wrong, even though it's not technically wrong to me?

The list for what could be perceived as being morally wrong is too long to put in a post.  We may think it's ok, but it's not to someone else.

In this message, Pastor Dwayne Dasher digs into the heart of the matter:  what WE should do when it may be a stumbling block to someone else.

Grow, Go and Know 1 Corinthians 7:17-40

Where were you before you knew Christ?
Where are you now as a believer in Christ?
    Where are you headed?
What do you need to work on?

The new church of Corinth was bombarding Paul with questions like these as they fumbled around like a child learning to walk.  Paul was able to calm their nerves by letting them know that the first step in faith isn't necessarily the hardest step at all.  Sometimes you just have to grow a little where you are currently planted.  Then, as God leads, go to where your next step is.  But you must know God's voice, will, and intent for you.

This passage speaks more directly to the social dynamic of his day, but the intent transcends generations.  We, too, though walking different paths, are called to do the same thing.  Pastor Dwayne Dasher makes this more applicable to us in our generation and challenges us to see where we are, recognize where to go, and to discern God's will for our life.
