When Elijah was instructed by God to anoint Elisha, we could safely guess that Elijah wasn't prepared to see the act of dedication Elisha was going to do before beginning his new spiritual journey.  Using examples of friends who have given themselves completely to be sold out soldiers for the cause of Christ, Br. Bill Morris brings light to what it means to be more than just dedicated to a mere job, but to be dedicated the personal relationships in the Shepherd's flock.

Don’t let this short book fool ya.  This letter from John to Gaius is in the Bible for a reason.  John shares his love for the new believer, commends him on actions seen by others, and condemns the selfishness of others.  Though this is the shortest book in the Bible, it’s powerful in it’s context of how we should always reflect the love of God in all of our actions, whether seen or not.  When we are honestly following Jesus, His truth shows clearly through us where it makes more of an impact than speaking.

    The Three Gifts Matthew 2:1-14
    Series: (All)
We've all heard the Christmas story.  We can envision it the manger scene clearly in our mind.  But what about the men from the east?  Though there weren't specific details about who came, their gifts were described with precision.   These outsiders of the Jewish faith saw evidence that caused them to come from afar and bring gifts to the God-man they didn't know or understand.  The gifts were their absolute best.  We, too, are outsiders of the faith trying to make a connection with the God-man, Jesus.  Are the gifts that we bring to the table our absolute best?  Pastor Dwayne Dasher challenges us to always bring our best, no matter what.

God crafts us individually with unique gifts and passions.
We are so very different, yet we all come together under the banner of Jesus as one body to praise God.  He intentionally made us different as to compensate the weakness of another.  And in turn, their strength compensates our weaknesses. As we approach the holiday season and prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior, we look internally and find what makes us “us” and celebrate our differences as we unify as believers of Christ.

It seems like we become numb to our blessings as we stare at these things everyday.
We can make the most sensitive and intimate time with God though prayer repetitive as well.
But how do we make it authentic?
We see blessings for what they are.  We see ourselves not as who we are, but as what God
sees us as who we can become.  We see us as conduits of blessings, as a carrier or peace,
    as an ambassador of Christ.

Pastor Dwayne challenges us to see everything as if it were the 1st time
and realize what blessings we have staring us right in the face.
